If I didn’t see these orange jerseys, I’d think the lions actually made it to the superbowl. Turnovers… terribad offence… 3 and out? Yea that sounds like the lions not a real playoff team.

You want people to see who you are. But I mean if you do not – if people do not want to see it that way and you know who you are and you are confident within that, you just got to leave it at that. Like I said, I cannot sit here and lie to you and say that I do not want people to like me.

POLICE INVESTIGATE MAN ALLEGEDLY BEAT BY EAGLES FANS - An investigation is underway into a beating – after Sunday’s Philadelphia Eagles game – of a man wearing the opposing team’s gear. Police said the 33-year-old victim was assaulted whil…e leaving Lincoln Financial Field after Sunday’s 34-20 Eagles victory over the Detroit Lions. He was wearing a Lions hat and jersey. The man told police six men in Eagles jerseys approached him as he was nearing the subway to go home and at least two of those men attacked him. The victim said at some point he fell to the ground and he believes for a short period of time he passed out. He then woke up and there was somebody helping him off the ground and he looked and he said all he remembered was that the male helping him had an Eagles jersey on (and) helped him get to the subway. The victim suffered a mild concussion, bruises and scrapes. He was treated at a Philadelphia hospital and released. He’s since returned to work. The victim told the Philadelphia Inquirer that the Good Samaritan who helped him reach the subway was so disgusted with the attack that he took off his Eagles jersey and threw it in the trash.“I am a loyal fan (of the Lions),” the victim told the Inquirer. “I travel all over for games, and my worst experiences are with people here in Philadelphia. People like that make me sick. Detroit may have a bad rep, as the most dangerous city, but at least our fans rock. Sure we heckle the other team, but even in downtown detroit, people wouldnt stand up for shit like that. Our city may be scary, and our team may suck, but our fans are the best.

Detroit, obviously everybody knows, this year filed for bankruptcy and has a history in the last couple decades, struggling financially and it means that much more to us as players as we see our Ford Field packed. Fans are showing up at home and making it tough for other teams, especially with the climate economically in this city. For them to show support like that and spend their hard earned money on us, it definitely gives us pride and gives us something to play for.
